The GFRT is an innovative company in the field of novel solutions for manufacturing, robotics and special machines.

Together with our partners we are working on the continuous improvement of tools and methods. The portfolio comprises services, hardware and software solutions in the field of model-based collision avoidance, collision-free path / movement planning and calibration. We develop advanced robotics solutions and integrate them into cooperation with OEM partners in new, intelligent production lines and products.

The GFRT is a spin-off from the Institute for Process Control and Robotics (IPR) of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (formerly the University of Karlsruhe (TH)) as result of the research project "IRoProg Intuitive Robot Programming". This research and development project was funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) within the Framework "Research for Tomorrow's Production" sponsored and supervised by the project executing organisation of the BMBF for Production and Manufacturing Technologies, Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe.
